The ethnic composition of the city is distributed by 78.0% white, 0.3% native Americans, 1.8% native Americans, 0.1% Pacific Islanders, 16.9% African Americans, 2.2% mixed or more. The number of families reached 17,278, of which 28.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them. The percentage of couples living together reached 41.6% of the total family total, 12.4% had female breadwinners without a partner, and 3.7% had male breadwinners without a partner and 42.3% were non-partner. Of all families, 36.2% were individuals and 11.5% were single people aged 65 and over. The average household size was 2.89 and the average family size was 2.21. The average age of the population is 37.5 years old. 10.3% was between 18 and 24 years old, 28.6% was between the age of 25 and 44 years old, 26.8% was between 45 and 64, and 13.4% was among the age group of 65 and above. The sexual structure of the population is distributed by 51.2% male and 48.8% female.
